And Zlatan Ibrahimovic who sometimes is known for not having so much feelings admits that he also was moved by the scenes.
– It was emotional to see Beckham, given that he is such a great player that you have heard so much and seen so much of him. But now you know the person behind him. He is an amazing person. Sleek, professional, work hard. And he has a great family. The most important is the person behind the persona, and it is only positive, says Zlatan.

Beckham joined PSG in the January transfer window. During his brief trip in Paris he managed to play in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League for the club.

But Beckham has not only made a big impression on Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the pitch. He has also become a model by which the world’s most famous and richest footballers, yet have managed to keep their feet on the ground.
– I’ve learned a lot from him. When he has played, he does it fantastically well. Even if he lives in a different world compared to other footballers. He inspires me. He lives a normal life. He goes out of the park and walk and he is surfing with the kids, says Zlatan.
– I myself feel that I do not take such initiatives, I think that someone can see me and the kids and I do not want my children to end up in that situation.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic set new goal record

Already ready league champion PSG faced the already relegation ready Brest. Nine starting players had dyed their hair in French colors red, blue and white. Two had not done it and it was superstars David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. But the two had other things to enjoy. For Beckham, the match is according to British Daily Mail, the last game ever in his career

Zlatan Ibrahimovic accounted for a really class goal as early as the fourth minute when he scored 1-0 with a low finish. It was Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s 28th goal in Ligue 1 this season – and he thereby reached his personal record for number of league goals. In the 30th minute the visitors keeper Alexis Thebaux was forced to capitulate again when David Beckham struck a perfect corner kick that was met by Blaise Matiudi. 2-0.

And just five minutes later it was time for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to beat his personal best. This time the goal came from a free kick. And what a kick it was. The shot from about 30 yards was rock hard and meant 3-0, although the keeper got a hand on it. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s two goals in the final match he beat Jean-Pierre Papins French league record of 30 goals.

Paris SG had already secured the French league title and there was a party last night in Paris. Nine players colored their hair – and Beckham was captain.

In the 81st minute there were strong scenes when Beckham, who is retiring from football after this season, crying left the field and was praised by fellow players and spectators. It was the Englishman’s last game in front of the home crowd.

After the match against Brest the league title was celebrated at the Parc des Princes. Then Paris Saint-Germain brought both light and music show, with a glittering Eiffel Tower in the background.
– I want to thank all the supporters, the whole team and all the coaches, said Zlatan Ibrahimovic on shaky French.

The transfer fees and player wages have hit the roof – and when their third league title would be celebrated after a Saturday match in the capital, PSG spread it on a lot. The lights on the stadium was shut down and to the sounds of French artists like Kavinsky and rap stars like Rick Ross the audience and viewers was given a 25-minute light and firework show.

After the spectacle the players stepped out one by one to the cheers of the audience and had a chance to speak on stage. At the march out the club had deployed fire displays that formed a flaming corridor. When it was Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s turn to go out, he went so close to a jet of flame that he had surprised jogging aside – and then offered at a tanning.
– I want to thank all the supporters, the whole team and all the coaches, said Zlatan Ibrahimovic on shaky French, much to the crowd’s delight and teammates.

Zlatan concluded by calling out the club’s slogan:
– Ici c’est Paris (this is Paris)!

David Beckham about his career and Zlatan

This weekend David Beckham became champion with Paris Saint-Germain. It has been speculated that he will remain in the French club, but with two league games left of the season, 38-year-old announced that football career is over.
– I am grateful that PSG enables me to continue, but I feel that now is the right time to finish my career, says Beckham.

The magazine Café recently did an interview with David Beckham where he talked about his relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
– I have always respected Zlatan as a player. Now I know him and he is a great person, a good friend. Above all, he is a winner. To become a top player, one of the best strikers in the world, you have to work hard. If Zlatan does not win the small games at practicehe gets a little angry and it says something about him. With his talent and passion, it is an honor to play at his side, says Beckham to the magazine.
– We have eaten a few dinners together. In a team, it happens of course you go out and eat together.

It seems like even though David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic had the famous Bieber incident they still remain friends.

During his time at LA Galaxy Beckham was playing with Christian “Chippen” Wilhelmsson, who has a lower back tattoo that is similar to David Beckhams.
– It is very similar, not exactly the same, but similar. He concealed the fact that he had it for me during the first few weeks, but I managed to get a glimpse of it in the end. He is an amazing person. Just like Zlatan, he is a very down to earth and friendly guy, who had a large part of our success last season. It would be great to see him again sometime.

Beckham says he has no plans to begin a coaching career.
– Manager? I’ve never been interested in it. In that case, I like more to coach children. But you never know, says David Beckham.

With the money David Beckham has earned during his career we are sure he would be fine with just quiting football. Just yesterday it was announced in Sports Illustrated that David Beckham makes the most of all athletes outside USA.

PSG transfer rumors update

The champions Paris Saint-Germain faces an important summer. Recently there have been a lot of PSG transfer rumors. Several big stars have been rumored to be moving away. It is also rumored that PSG seem to have trouble getting the players to enjoy the city and the club environment. The Qatari owners want at all costs to keep superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

But Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his wife Helena Seger are unhappy in Paris and want most of all to return to Italy, according to statements in different interviews. A return to the Italian champion Juventus have emerged as the most likely option, and in Italy it is written daily on Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Helena Segers possible Juventus move.

A major obstacle on the road is Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s high wages, which Juventus in the current situation can not afford to pay. Different solutions are discussed, as higher bonus, but it seems clear that Zlatan have to cut down in pay to make the transfer a reality.

If we are to trust Mino Raiolas sharp statement there will be absolutely no move.
– There is a 0,001-percent chance that Zlatan goes to Juventus, Mino Raiola said to Tuttosport in late April.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport Zlatan Ibrahimovic earns just over 10 million Euro per year in PSG. Juventus should have announced a four-year contract with an annual salary of 6 million.

Recent data from the agent Mino Raiola says that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will remain at PSG.
– The entire project revolves around him so I think he stays, Mino Raiola says to Italian media.

Another one that wants to go back to Italy is the Argentine Ezequiel Lavezzi. The striker was first signed in PSG where over 23 million ended up in Naples. Unfortunately for the French, Ezequiel Lavezzi does not love the country so much. The agent Alejandro Mazzoni recently confirmed that an Italy move may be appropriate and according to Corriere dello Sport, Milan is very interested in signing Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Another one that is hesitant about the future is Ancelotti.
– I still hesitate. I’m not sure, says Ancelotti according to France Football. The Italian is mentioned primarily as a likely replacement for Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid. This is if Chelsea can solve Jose Mourinho’s buyout clause which according to the Guardian is at 15 million.

A player that there has been less PSG transfer rumors about is Thiago Silva. Thiago, who said he never wanted to leave Milan, is sitting on a gold rimmed contract that extends all the way to 2017. Barcelona are said to be interested, but:
– A move will be difficult to implement, and I think he finally stays in PSG, says the player’s agent Paulo Tonietto to Rac1.

Beckham earns three times of Zlatan

In late January, David Beckham, 37 signed to play the rest of the season for Paris Saint-Germain. Then he announced that he was giving away his salary to charity. According to l’Equipe the midfielder waived his salary to avoid paying taxes.

And the 37-year-old does not seem to have any financial problems due to this. According to Forbes magazine Beckham earned the most of all the football players last year, including salary and sponsorship deals. Nearly 90 percent of revenues came from his underwear campaign with Swedish company H & M.

In 2012, Beckham earned $ 50.6 million, about 330 million. It is three times as much as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who raked in $ 16.6 million. This means that Sweden’s captain ends up in 13th place when it comes to the world’s highest-paid player.

Zlatan and PSG eliminated after missed penalty

PSG was eliminated from Champions League last week but the dream of a double was still alive in the cup when facing Evian. PSG got a great start in the game when David Beckham hit a long pass to Christophe Jallet which in turn found Javier Pastore. The Argentine juggled the ball to himself and scored 1-0 on the volley over the bar.

Evian put in 1-1 however, at the end of the first half through Saber Khalifa. Zlatan had a chance to decide the game before overtime but hit the post in his attempt. Instead, the match went into overtime.
At the end of the second extra time Thiago Motta got a red card for kicking down an Evian player. PSG players were not at all happy with the decision and several, including Zlatan, started discussing with the judge.

The match was then decided on penalties. Evian began to put their first. But when it was Zlatan turn the goalkeeper luckely saved. Evian went on to put their second goal, while Thiago Silva missed his penalty. The home side also put their third and fourth penalties into goal and thus advance to the semifinals.

In November PSG went out of the League Cup against Saint-Etienne, this was also when Silva missed a penalty. Zlatan has not missed a penalty since he debuted in Milan against Cesena in September 2010. But after 21 straight penalty goals the miss came at a very bad timing.
