We have for a few weeks been writing about Juventus interest in Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However as mentioned in several different newspapers lately Zlatan Ibrahimovics agent Mino Raiola has always been rejected in his attempts to get the Italian champions Juventus to try to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Recently, Gonzalo Higuain has emerged as the hottest name as Juventus new striker, and according to today’s Gazzetta dello Sport Juventus announced an initial bid of € 22 million for Gonzalo Higuain.
Real Madrid have put a price of 30 million on Gonzalo Higuain and according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the parties may meet around a price of 25 million. The next meeting between the clubs is likely to be held on May 20th in Madrid.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reason to keep track of what happens, the paper said. For Fernando Llorente is already ready for Juventus, and apart from him, the Juventus is only looking for one top striker. Juventus would rather have a young player who they can resell in the future. Zlatan Ibrahimovic would not be someone Juventus would make money on in a later sale due to his age. Even Luis Suárez would be a better choice than Zlatan, but Liverpool do not seem to want to sell him.
If the price of Zlatan Ibrahimovic would go down to seven or eight million, with a salary of seven million a year, it could change the conditions, writes GDS. Zlatan is thus an alternative option but right now it seems like Juventus are first looking for other alternatives. Another option for Juventus would be Cavani which we reported on earlier in the week.
